I don't like the bluish tint and it does have shadows alone the very top of the screen. I can't say that I love the glow light part of this Nook. I have a Mac and had to download Android file transfer app first to allow me to get the books onto my Nook. While it isn't as easy as borrowing a Kindle ebook, it is still pretty easy. I borrow lots of library books thru overdrive. Also, the covers don't show up on the new one! Just a rectangle with the title inside as text.Īny ideas on how to make the new Glowlight Plus behave like the old Simple Touch Glowlight? Does B&N have any plans to bring back the Simple Touch Glowlight? With the new Glowlight, while I *can* read them, the behavior is just like the original Nook (the one with 3G): they not only have to be placed into "files" or "documents" folders, but they only show up if I navigate to the "my files" section of the library and not in "all". The old Simple Glowlight let me just add the epubs and they displayed with the rest of my library. I have a number of (DRM-free) epubs in my calibre library that I would like to be able to read on the Nook. The old glowlight let me just long press the NOOK button and the light turned on. Hopefully, someone can help point me to a workaround.ġ. I just got a new Glowlight (after losing my Simple Glowlight) and there are a few things that really bug me about it.
